Jenell Williams-Pinder
Jenell Williams-Pinder is the Owner and General Manager of BrinsJen Systems Development Specialists. She brings over 10 years of professional experience in environmental management, quality assurance, and occupational health and safety across sectors including construction, oil and gas, education, manufacturing, and technology services.
Her career began in the Massy Graduate Trainee Programme, where she managed Health and Safety Management Systems and strengthened her technical foundation by integrating environmental science with safety and quality assurance principles. Jenell holds a BSc in Environmental Science from the University of Guyana and an MSc in Environmental Studies from the University of Delhi, India. She was notably the first woman to be hired at Technip FMC Guyana to support the new oil and gas economy of Guyana.
Jenell is certified in internationally recognised management systems, including ISO 9001, API Q1, and API Q2, and has completed specialised training, including from the International Labour Organization (ILO). She also holds professional certificates in Quality Management and Project Management from the University of the West Indies (UWI). These qualifications have enabled her to successfully lead and manage QHSE departments for multiple organisations. In addition to her consultancy work, Jenell serves as a Lecturer of Earth and Environmental Sciences at the University of Guyana and as a Tutor for the NEBOSH International General Certificate through Greenstate Oil and Gas Services.
Latoya Farinha
Latoya Farinha is the Lead Environmental and Safety Specialist with over 10 years of professional experience across regulatory institutions and high-risk industries, including oil and gas and logistics management. Her background combines strong regulatory insight with hands-on operational HSE leadership.
Latoya holds a degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Guyana and is certified in ISO 9001 Quality Management, Project Management, and occupational health and safety training, alongside several specialised safety certifications. Her most recent professional development includes Hazardous Material Response Training from the Caribbean Maritime University.
Her professional experience includes serving as Onshore HSE Supervisor for the Repsol Carapara 1 Project, QHSE Coordinator at Tiger Tanks Guyana Limited, and Environmental Officer within the Hazardous Waste Materials and Air Quality Unit at the Environmental Protection Agency of Guyana. Latoya brings a practical, compliance-driven approach to environmental protection and workplace safety, supporting effective risk management and regulatory adherence across projects.

Melinda Franklin-Lynch
Environmental Specialist
"Melinda Franklin-Lynch, MSc. is an Environmental Management Professional with over 15 years of experience in environmental compliance, hazardous waste management, and environmental consultancy. She is the Owner and General Manager of Franklin-Lynch Environmental & Engineering Services (FLEE Services), a consultancy dedicated to helping businesses navigate complex environmental regulations and approval processes in Guyana. Melinda has led the preparation of environmental management plans, environmental assessments, waste management strategies, and regulatory compliance frameworks for projects across sectors including oil and gas, construction, and agriculture. Her work spans both national and international initiatives, with experience supporting projects and programmes in collaboration with organisations such as the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the World Bank, and the Basel Convention Regional Centre. Known for her practical, solutions-oriented approach, Melinda works closely with clients to secure environmental authorisations from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), licences from the Pesticides and Toxic Chemicals Control Board (PTCCB) and from other regulatory agencies, in addition to approvals aligned with national regulatory requirements and international best practices. Her leadership and technical expertise continue to support responsible development and environmental stewardship across Guyana."
Vanessa Williams-Rodriguez
Social Development Consultant
"Vanessa Williams-Rodriguez is a Social Development Consultant with strong academic and professional expertise in social impact assessment, stakeholder engagement, and community development. She holds a Master of Arts in Social Development from the University of Sussex, London, and a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from the University of Guyana. Vanessa’s work focuses on community and youth development, education, gender and social inclusion, and social and regulatory reform. She has contributed to a wide range of national and regional development projects across Guyana, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, and Belize, working with organisations including UNICEF, the United Nations Volunteer Programme, USAID, the International Labour Organization (ILO), the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB), and the Environmental Protection Agency of Guyana. Her project experience includes mid-term evaluations, market systems assessments, healthcare network strengthening initiatives, major infrastructure rehabilitation projects, tourism and hospitality training programmes, and social research supporting Guyana’s emerging oil and gas sector. Vanessa brings a strong, practical skill set in the preparation of Social Impact Assessments, Indigenous Peoples Plans, Gender Assessments, and stakeholder engagement frameworks, ensuring that development projects are socially responsive, inclusive, and aligned with international best practices."
Geeta Devi Singh
Environmental professional
"Geeta Devi Singh is an environmental professional with multidisciplinary qualifications and experience in sciences, engineering and business administration. She began her career as a Technologist at the Institute of Applied Science and Technology, after completing her B.Sc. in Physics with distinction at the University of Guyana. She then pursued a Master of Environmental Science and Engineering at Autonomous Metropolitan University in Mexico City and served as Director of the Environmental Management Division at the Environmental Protection Agency (Guyana) for six years. As a bilingual (English and Spanish) Environmental and Conservation Trust Fund Specialist, Geeta has a good understanding of the operations of Conservation Trust Funds regionally, as well as Guyana’s environmental, protected areas, legal, and institutional framework, and a well-developed proficiency in interpreting and applying Guyana’s environmental legislation for regulatory compliance. She has 15+ years’ technical expertise in environmental, social, health, and safety management and environmental monitoring and impact assessments, as well as financing of conservation/ protected areas for sustainable livelihoods and communities, inclusive of public/stakeholder engagements. She is also the Owner and Principal Chief Executive CEO of GDS Consulting Services. Geeta demonstrates a deep passion and love for nature and the outdoors and seeks to leverage her skills to deliver quality and value, while protecting and conserving the integrity of our beloved natural and human environment. Her leadership trajectory continued as Executive Director of the Protected Areas Trust, Guyana’s Conservation Trust Fund, where she oversaw financing mechanisms supporting protected areas, sustainable livelihoods, and community-based conservation. This role inspired her to further strengthen her executive and financial management skills through a Master of International Business Administration, completed in 2023 at MIU City University, Miami."
Darshini Seeram
Forester & Environmental Professional
"Darshini Seeram is a highly experienced Forester and Environmental Management Professional with over 17 years of practical experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) analysis, land use planning, and environmental management. Her work supports informed decision-making for sustainable natural resource use and development planning. Darshini holds a BSc in Forestry from the University of Guyana, a Postgraduate Diploma in Environment and Sustainable Development from Indira Gandhi National Open University, India, and an MSc in Tropical Forestry from Bangor University, United Kingdom. She brings strong technical and analytical expertise to projects requiring spatial analysis, environmental planning, and forestry-based solutions, and is committed to promoting sustainable land and forest management practices."
Candacie Brower-Thompson
Stakeholder Engagement Specialist
"Candacie Brower-Thompson is an Environmental Education, Communication, and Stakeholder Engagement Specialist with over 18 years of experience supporting environmental management, public awareness, and sustainable development initiatives in Guyana and the wider Caribbean. She holds a BSc in Biology from the University of Guyana and a Master’s degree in Environmental Education and Communication from Royal Roads University. Candacie is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Environmental Education and Communication Services (EECS), where she leads the design and implementation of communication strategies, stakeholder engagement plans, training programmes, and public outreach initiatives for environmental and development projects. Previously, Candacie served at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) of Guyana as Programme Head for Communications and Senior Environmental Officer, where she conceptualised and coordinated national training programmes, public consultations, media engagements, and environmental education campaigns. Her work has contributed to the development of stakeholder engagement guidelines, environmental policies, and capacity-building frameworks across multiple sectors, including oil and gas, forestry, biodiversity conservation, and climate change adaptation. Recognised for her leadership and impact, Candacie has received several awards for excellence in stakeholder engagement and environmental impact assessment. She is a respected facilitator, trainer, and advisor, known for translating complex environmental issues into clear, practical, and inclusive solutions that empower communities and decision-makers alike."
